ANNUAL GARLIC FESTIVAL DOG SHOW

FUN DOG SHOW - BACK FOR 2026!

We love our furry friends at The Garlic Festival and we love holding a fun dog show to celebrate our four-legged visitors. It’s such a fun wonderful part of the show, and it raises hundreds of pounds for two charities, so it’s back for 2026 on Saturday AND Sunday again!

Big thanks go to Louise Rippon for making this all happen, as ever. The trophies are ordered, the medals in order and the prizes being gathered!

All you have to do is be there!* If you’re bringing your dog along to the Garlic Festival, the Dog Show will take place in our large arena right in front of the Garlic Marquee.

WHERE AND WHEN

GARLIC FESTIVAL

SATURDAY 15th AUGUST and SUNDAY 16th AUGUST

Main Arena | 12:00 Midday - Register on arrival at the small arena next to the Main Arena.

DONATION £2 per entry - All donations to Ability Dogs for Young People

Each category should take around 15 minutes and we have 3 judges). The Dog Show will consist of a line up for inspection, group walk around the ring on lead - back to spots and then placing by judges and awarding of prizes, then moving on to the next category. Winners instructed to hang around for best in show which again follows same routine.

We are really excited and hope that if you are coming to the festival, you will bring your four legged friend along to win some lovely treats!

THE CATEGORIES

Best Little Stinker | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Most Handsome Hound | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Loveliest Lady | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Best Veteran (over 7’s) | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Most Perfect Puppy (under 1 year) | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

All categories will then be in with a chance of BEST IN SHOW - with winner and reserve.

THE PRIZES

All 1st place winners will receive a rosette, an engraved medal ribbon and prizes

All 2nd place winners will receive a rosette, an engraved medal ribbon and prizes

All 3rd place winners will receive a rosette, an engraved medal ribbon and prizes

Best in Show Reserve will win a rosette, Goody bag (small) and a bouquet.

Best in Show will win a Rosette, Engraved Trophy Goody Bag (Large) and a bouquet.
