FUN DOG SHOW - BACK FOR 2023!
We love our furry friends at The Garlic Festival and we have always wanted to hold a fun dog show to celebrate our four-legged visitors. Last year was such a success, that it will be running both Saturday AND Sunday for 2023!
Big thanks go to Louise Rippon from Preziosa Dachshunds for making this all happen, as ever. The trophies are ordered, the medals in order and the prizes being gathered!
All you have to do is be there!* If you’re bringing your dog along to the Garlic Festival, the Dog Show will take place in our large arena right in front of the Garlic Marquee.
WHERE AND WHEN
GARLIC FESTIVAL
SATURDAY 19th AUGUST and SUNDAY 20th AUGUST
Main Arena | 12:00 Midday - Register on arrival at the small arena next to the Main Arena.
DONATION £1 per entry - All donations to Ability Dogs for Young People
Each category should take around 15 minutes and we have 3 judges (including lovely Louise from Preziosa of course!). The Dog Show will consist of a line up for inspection, group walk around the ring on lead - back to spots and then placing by judges and awarding of prizes, then moving on to the next category. Winners instructed to hang around for best in show which again follows same routine.
We are really excited and hope that if you are coming to the festival, you will bring your four legged friend along to win some lovely treats!

Best Little Stinker | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Most Handsome Hound | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Loveliest Lady | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Best Veteran (over 7’s) | 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
All categories will then be in with a chance of BEST IN SHOW - with winner and reserve.
THE PRIZES
All 1st place winners will receive a rosette, an engraved medal ribbon and a £15 Voucher for products from Preziosa Artisan Bakery.
All 2nd place winners will receive a rosette, an engraved medal ribbon and a £10 voucher for products from Preziosa Artisan Bakery.
All 3rd place winners will receive a rosette, an engraved medal ribbon and a £5 voucher for products from Preziosa Artisan Bakery.
Best in Show Reserve will win a rosette, Preziosa Goody bag (small) and a bouquet.
